New Orleans, LA — Around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, a 30" water main break occurred in the 2600 block of Upperline Street. Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) crews promptly responded to the incident and worked through the night to address the issue.
By approximately 1:45 a.m., crews were able to isolate a portion of the affected area. Currently we are working on further isolating the impacted line segment as well as increasing the pressure in the Uptown area.
A Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for affected areas as crews continue to make repairs. SWBNO teams have been working overnight and will remain on site until the break is fully isolated and repaired
We understand the inconvenience this causes and appreciate the public’s patience as our crews work around the clock to resolve the issue. We are in ongoing communication with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and will provide updates as the situation evolves.
Residents are urged to continue following the Boil Water Advisory guidelines until further notice.
