Non-Profit Irrigation - Hydrant Meter Policy

Recognizing the many benefits of the urban tree canopy including aiding in stormwater management, the Sewerage and Water Board will provide hydrant meters at no-cost to non-profits who are undertaking tree planting on publicly accessible land. Non-profits will submit a request for hydrant meters to SWBNO and, upon receipt of the hydrant meter, the non-profit will be liable to pay for any damaged or lost hydrant meters. Non-profit recipients will also be responsible for bringing meters back to SWBNO for testing and calibration at an interval set by SWBNO staff.
