To protect the public drinking water supply from backflow contamination and per Louisiana Department of Health requirements, SWBNO developed a backflow prevention program to find and reduce the number of unprotected cross connections.
New customers should apply in person and present the following information to open a new account. Each water meter is assigned to a "customer of record," which is the person responsible for the bill.
Residential Customers
A Valid Picture I.D. (State I.D. Or License)
Social Security Number
Proof of Occupancy (Examples listed below)
Damage Deposit Receipt
Lease
Act of Sale
Landlord’s Statement
Commercial Customers
Applications for service for businesses or companies must bear the name and signature of an agent or officer representing the business or company.
Anyone Applying for Another Individual Must Also Bring
A signed letter of authorization from the customer
A Valid Picture I.D. (State I.D. or License) for the customer
A Valid Picture I.D. (State I.D. or License) for the person applying for the customer
