On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) contractor, Hard Rock Construction, will be performing a closure which will temporarily disrupt your water services. This closure is part of the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control (SELA) drainage improvement project.
WHEN: Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 8:00AM – 2:00PM
WHERE:
- Indiana St from Gen De Gaulle Dr to Memorial Park Dr
- Amazon St from Illinois St to Indiana St
- Memorial Park Dr from Idaho St to Indiana St
When water is restored, run your faucets for 5 minutes to flush out the lines before resuming regular use.
If water is not restored within one hour after end time, please contact us at the email/phone number below.
Gauges will be placed and monitored by a SWBNO crew during the water valve closure. The procedure will be aborted, and the closure opened immediately if there are any unacceptable pressure losses during the closure or if any pressure gauge readings fall to 30psi.
