Tomorrow, Thursday, September 24th, 2026, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) contractor, Boh Bros, will be temporarily close one of the northbound lanes of General De Gaulle Dr from Sandra Dr to Life Center Dr to facilitate 16-inch water valve inspection. The full construction schedule will be provided at a later date once inspection is complete and materials are secured.
LOCATION: General De Gaulle Dr (northbound left hand lane) from Sandra Dr to Life Center Dr
WORK SCHEDULE: We anticipate the lane closure to take place from 9AM-2PM.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Northbound traffic on the left hand lane will be shifted to use the other 3 lanes of traffic.
For all traffic interruptions, signage and traffic control measures such as barrels and fencing are onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians. Crews will allow buses and emergency vehicles to pass, as needed.
