SWBNO's Algiers Water Treatment Plant is adding zinc orthophosphate, a food grade, EPA-approved corrosion control additive to drinking water beginning June 8th, 2026. This enhancement protects pipes from corrosion and reduces lead levels, reinforcing SWBNO's commitment to safe, high quality drinking water for all customers.
Our offices will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.
If you are experiencing an urgent water or sewer leak, call our emergency line at 504-52WATER (529-2837).
