Renée Lapeyrolerie Appointed Chief of Staff at New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board

New Orleans, LA – The New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board (SWBNO) proudly announces the appointment of Renée Lapeyrolerie as its new Chief of Staff. Lapeyrolerie brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in both public service and strategic management.
With a career spanning over two decades, Renée Lapeyrolerie has held key positions in various sectors, demonstrating her commitment to public service and community development.
Prior to joining the Sewerage and Water Board, Lapeyrolerie served as the Commissioner of Multimodal Commerce at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Appointed by Governor John Bel Edwards, she played a pivotal role in enhancing the state's focus on multimodal commerce, spearheading initiatives in aviation, ports & waterways, freight & passenger rail, and commercial trucking.
Lapeyrolerie's extensive leadership experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the Louisiana Democratic Party and holding positions such as Client Service Leader at CDM Smith, and Communications Director at the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office.

Her accomplishments also extend to her involvement in various community initiatives, including the redevelopment of public housing in New Orleans and the coordination of the Sidney Bechet Centennial Celebration.

Renée Lapeyrolerie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Spanish from Loyola University New Orleans and has completed the Loyola Institute of Politics fellowship program.
