Groundbreaking for $49.1 Million Drainage Canal Project

The first phase of a four-phase drainage improvement program consisting of widening the Florida Canal from 25 feet to 42 feet and heightening the canal from 7 feet to 15 feet. It is part of the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Program (SELA).
