Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), is testing water quality samples, which may take up to 24 hours to achieve results. Until clear test results are back, a precautionary boil water advisory (BWA) remains in effect for parts of New Orleans East which includes:

Drinking Water Update Boil Water Advisory Lifted In Portion Orleans Parish Lower Ninth Ward

State Health Officials have concurred with a request from the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans to lift the boil water advisory for a targeted area of the city's Lower Ninth Ward.
