For Immediate Release: Saturday, June 28, 2025 12:55 PM
New Orleans, LA – Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) crews have successfully made progress in isolating the location of the 30" water main break. As a result of this progress, water pressures are beginning to increase across the impacted areas.
While many customers may start to notice improved water pressure, some may still experience lower-than-normal levels as repair operations continue. Full isolation activities are expected to be completed within the next two hours. Our contractor is mobilizing and will begin round-the-clock repairs to expedite the restoration process.
Once pressures rise above 20 psi in the affected areas, water quality testing will begin to ensure the safety of the drinking water system. The precautionary Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until further notice.
SWBNO will continue to provide updates as work progresses. We appreciate our community’s patience and understanding during this emergency response.
