For Immediate Release: Wednesday, May 1, 2019 8:44 PM

New Orleans - The Sewerage and Water Board (SWBNO) has responded to, and repaired, a reported water main break in New Orleans East on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 that knocked out water service to apartment complexes and residences in the area.

Preliminary evidence shows a contractor struck a 12-inch water main in the 6700 block of Lake Willow Drive. Once the outage was reported, SWBNO crews patched the main and water pressure was restored.

The SWBNO is investigating the incident to identify the contractor, the company's employer, and to fully determine the cause of the leak.

Should you experience low or no water pressure at your home or business, please call 52-WATER to alert us.
