Traffic lane closure - Left Westbound Lane of Earhart before Claiborne

New Orleans -- The Sewerage and Water Board will be repairing a 30" water line on Earhart Boulevard Thursday, Jan. 31. The project will require the closure of the left, westbound lane of Earhart, starting on the downtown side of Claiborne Avenue.
The lane will be closed shortly after 6:30 a.m. and remain closed until the work is completed. The work site will be covered and secured using steel plates until a final restoration of the pavement can be done.
A lane on Earhart will be open at all times for traffic to pass. SWBNO is working in coordination with the State Department of Transportation and Development, considering Earhart is a state road.
Please drive safely and avoid that area if at all possible.
