SWBNO presents City Council with chronicle of events leading to the Nov. 17 boil water advisory

Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans Executive Director Ghassan Korban presented the City Council with a timeline of what led to a boil water advisory on Nov. 17, 2018 for the East Bank of New Orleans.
From the subsequent investigations of those events, SWBNO has taken swift action to improve its operations. It has reached out to Entergy to ensure proper communication is in place during emergencies, and leadership is working to better train employees to handle urgent operational challenges.
