Kind of Work
Technical, supervisory and administrative work directing supervisory staff engaged in the operation and maintenance of the East Bank and West Bank Water Treatment Plants. Work includes ensuring that the plant and its operators comply with state health standards by regularly testing the water supply and keeping meticulous records. Work also includes participating in operational planning; and related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
1. High school diploma or GED issued by a state department of education.
2. Current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
3. EITHER: Permanent status as a Water Treatment Supervisor and two (2) years of experience in that classification working under a personally held current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. OR: Two (2) years of related supervisory experience in a water purification plant working under a personally held current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
NOTE: Some positions may require a current Louisiana Commercial Driver's License.
Kind of Examination
A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
