Kind of Work
Technical and supervisory work providing technical oversight to the water purification operations for the Sewerage and Water Board Work includes overseeing water purification operators in the inspection, operation, testing, and maintenance of water quality and sampling activities. Work also includes delivering performance evaluation and enforcing discipline; verifying and approving time, managing equipment, tools, and technology; and related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
1. High school diploma or GED issued by a state department of education.
2. Current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
3. EITHER: Permanent status with Sewerage and Water Board and one (1) year of related experience in a water purification plant working under a personally held current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
OR: One (1) year of related supervisory experience in a water purification plant working under a personally held current Class IV Water Treatment License issued by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
NOTE: Some positions may require a current Louisiana Commercial Driver's License.
Kind of Examination
A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
