Contractors working for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and Sewerage & Water Board completed roadway construction on the downtown side of Magazine Street and Louisiana Avenue as part of the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Program (SELA) project on Louisiana Avenue.
