DESCRIPTION:Today\, Thursday\, November 5\, 2026\, Sewerage and Water Board
  of New Orleans (SWBNO) crews and contractor\, Boh Bros\, will be performi
 ng an emergency water disruption to facilitate an emergency watermain repa
 ir at Duels and Pauger streets. \n\n Customers are not expected to lose wa
 ter service entirely\; however\, customers east of St Bernard Ave will exp
 erience lower-than-normal water pressure. These lower-pressure conditions 
 may last through Tues\, Nov 10th\, when a linestop is scheduled to be depl
 oyed. The impact area includes Gentilly\, Marigny\, Bywater\, and the Lowe
 r Ninth Ward. Customers in New Orleans East may also experience a slight p
 ressure reduction\, although significant impacts are not anticipated due t
 o system redundancy in that area. \n\n To minimize the impact on customers
 \, we are working tonight and will be closing valves starting around 10:00
 PM to identify the extent of the repairs. We will continue to provide upda
 tes as repair activities progress and as additional information regarding 
 the scope of repairs and customer impacts become available. \n\n  WHEN:  T
 hursday\, November 5\, 2026\, beginning at 10:00PM until repairs are compl
 eted. It is possible that the lower-than-normal pressure conditions will l
 ast through Tuesday\, November 10th. \n\n  WHERE:  Customers east of St Be
 rnard Ave (Gentilly\, Marigny\, Bywater and the Lower Ninth Ward) \n\n Whe
 n water is restored\, run your faucets for 5 minutes to flush out the line
 s before resuming regular use. \n\n Gauges will be placed and monitored by
  a SWBNO crew during the water valve closure. The procedure will be aborte
 d\, and the closure will be opened immediately if there are any unacceptab
 le pressure losses. \n\n If you are outside of the expected impact area an
 d experience low or no water pressure to report a water or sewer emergency
