SSERP Summary


$181 million expended to date for evaluation & repairs

 

Sewer System Basins are divided into 10 basins for study, design and construction.

 

We have:
Inspected over 5.9 million feet of sanitary sewer lines.
Rehabilitated more than 654,000 feet of sewer lines.
Inspected 22,200 sewer manholes.
Repaired or renovated 6,500 manholes.

Lakeview Basin
Last Sewer Rehabilitation Project in the Lakeview Basin was Completed on November 21, 2001.

Beat the Consent Decree Requirement to Complete Construction before December 14, 2001.

Total Capital Cost: $21,590,000

CBD/FQ/WD Basin
Basin Construction Started in October 2000.

Construction Started on Sewer/Fiber Pilot Project in April 2005.

On Schedule to Meet Consent Decree Requirement to Complete Construction by December 31, 2005.

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $19,000,000

Gentilly Basin

Last Sewer Rehabilitation Project in the Gentilly Basin was Completed on August 9, 2004.

Met the Consent Decree Requirement to Complete Construction by December 31, 2004.

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $27,000,000

Uptown Basin

Construction Started in December 2002.

On Scheduled To Meet The Consent Decree Requirement to Complete Construction By December 31, 2005.

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $28,200,000

Mid-City Basin

Design Completed in April 2005.

Construction started in June 2003.

On Schedule to meet the Consent Decree Requirement to Complete Construction by December 31, 2006.

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $40,500,000

Lower Ninth Ward Basin

Design - Ongoing

Construction Started in June 2004

On Schedule to Meet Consent Decree Requirement to Complete Construction by December 31, 2007

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $36,700,000

Carrollton Basin

Design - Ongoing

Construction Started in April 2005, Ahead of Schedule for Consent Decree Start Requirement of January 1, 2006.

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $43,500,000

New Orleans East Basin

Design Initiated in February 2005.

Construction to be Initiated in 2006 in Order to Meet Consent Decree Start Requirement of January 1, 2007.

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $24,800,000

South Shore Basin

Study Completed in March 2005.

Design to be initiated in 2006.

Construction to be Initiated in 2007 in Order to Meet Consent Decree Start Requirement of January 1, 2008.

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $12,100,000

Algiers Basin

Study to be Initiated in August 2005.

Total Estimated Capital Cost: $42,700,000
