Orleans East - The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans issues the following statement: The State Of Louisiana
Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of Public Health, has lifted the boil water advisory to New Orleans East. All
of New Orleans East, Southshore and Venetian Isles no longer have to treat the tap water for safety.

The Sewerage and Water Board said a power outage at 1:10 this afternoon, likely caused by a lightning strike, shut down
four pumps which distribute water from the East Bank Water Treatment plant through large mains throughout the East Bank

Customer Phone Center, will close at 4 p.m. each day this week and next Monday due to parking, traffic and transit
