Lower-Than-Normal Water Pressure On Saturday While S&WB Makes Repairs

Several buildings and businesses on Poydras Avenue, between South Rampart and Freret streets, will experience lower-than-normal water pressure Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., while two valves on a 20-inch water main are repaired by the Sewerage and Water Board.

Affected will be the Hyatt Hotel, Macy's, the Amoco Building, City Hall and the Civil District Court Building.

The S&WB has met with engineering and maintenance departments of all the buildings to advise them of the pressure situation.

The New Orleans Fire Department has also been notified.
