Some Homes and Businesses Near Robert E. Lee and Elysian Fields
Will Experience Service Interruptions on Weekend
|
Residences and businesses in a section of the Lakefront area will be without water service at various times on Saturday and Sunday (May 15 and 16) while the Sewerage and Water Board repairs fire hydrants and valves on six and 12-inch water mains in the area.
Customers will be affected on only one of the two days, but not both.
Work will be done between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
Service interruptions can be expected on Robert E. Lee from St. Anthony to Elysian Fields; Vermillion from Lee to New York; Pasteur from Prentiss to New York; Curie from Lee to New York; Cameron from Lee to New York, and Mexico from Vermillion to Elysian Fields.
The work is being done to ensure the reliability of the water system in the area for everyday needs and fire protection. Customers were notified of the service interruptions via door-to-door handouts.
