S&WB Will Conduct Five Meetings On Infrastructure Projects, Improved Technology, New Services
|
The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans will conduct its first series of quarterly public information meetings for 2004 next week in each of the City's five Council Districts.
The program includes progress reports on the Board's water, sewerage and drainage projects, hands-on computer instructions for the S&WB website and customer account information online, free leak detection and water conservation materials and tips on repairs for leaking faucets and commodes.
S&WB staff members will be on hand to demonstrate high-tech repair processes and show state-of-the art equipment used in the repair of water, sewer and drainage lines in the field. Customers will also be able to pinpoint sewer rehab work to be done in their neighborhood through a computer to be set up at the meeting site.
